Bill Kintner was a Republican politician and a former state senator from Nebraska, United States. He was born on September 10, 1960, in Michigan City, Indiana. Kintner graduated from Columbus High School in Columbus, Nebraska, and later from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in business administration.
Kintner was known for his conservative views on social issues such as abortion, gay marriage, and immigration. He was a vocal opponent of LB 586, which required companies to offer paid maternity and paternity leave to employees. Kintner also opposed the expansion of Medicaid in Nebraska.
In January 2017, Kintner resigned from the Nebraska State Legislature after his involvement in a cybersex scandal. He was caught using a state-owned laptop to engage in inappropriate online conversations with a woman. Kintner initially refused to resign, but he ultimately stepped down from his position after facing pressure from his fellow lawmakers and the public.
Besides his political career, Kintner was a former small business owner and worked as a certified financial planner.
